Uncategorized  | 6/22/2025

With great commitment and outstanding team spirit, Montanhydraulik took part in STADTRADELN 2025 and was once again awarded Gold. From May 4 to May 24, 2025, our team cycled a total of 13,704.8 kilometers, saving an impressive 2,247.6 kilograms of CO₂ in the process.

A total of 50 colleagues from across the company participated in the initiative, which saw the municipality of Holzwickede join the international campaign once again to promote cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation. The goal of the three-week event is to consciously leave the car behind and switch to climate-friendly cycling.

A special highlight was the performance of our CFO, Josef M. Mertens, who cycled an incredible 1,642.8 kilometers, achieving the longest individual distance within the team and saving 269.4 kilograms of CO₂ – an outstanding effort that was also officially recognized.

The official award ceremony took place on June 17, 2025, at the Emscherhof, with the certificate presented on behalf of the Climate Alliance and the municipality of Holzwickede.

With more than 333 company bikes now in use, sustainable mobility has long become a firm part of our corporate culture.

We sincerely thank all participants for their dedication – and we’re already looking forward to STADTRADELN 2026!
