The Montanhydraulik Group announces the acquisition of the operating business of KMF Kemptener Maschinenfabrik GmbH i. I. through an asset deal effective August 1, 2026. Based in Kempten, Germany, KMF is a well-established specialist in hydraulic cylinders with a strong focus on the agricultural machinery sector and has built a reputation over many years as a reliable partner to leading customers in this market segment. In the 2025 financial year, the company employed approximately 185 people and generated revenue of around €35 million.

Following the filing for insolvency proceedings under self-administration (Eigenverwaltung) in January 2026, the transaction has now been completed as part of a transfer restructuring process (übertragende Sanierung). The objective of the acquisition is to secure the long-term future of the Kempten site through this restructuring process while providing a sustainable perspective for the majority of employees. Any necessary structural adjustments as part of the company’s realignment will be implemented responsibly and in a socially considerate manner.

The Kempten site will continue operations under the newly established KMF HYCO GmbH. Montanhydraulik is committed to preserving and further developing KMF’s existing expertise and capabilities. The company aims to ensure maximum continuity for customers, suppliers, and business partners. With its strong position in the agricultural sector, KMF is a valuable addition to the Montanhydraulik Group’s existing product portfolio and represents an important step in the Group’s strategic development and diversification.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the transaction.
