With its successful initial certification according to ISO 50001:2018, Montanhydraulik GmbH demonstrates a strong commitment to the responsible use of energy and resources.
Across its three sites in Holzwickede, Hamm, and Gelsenkirchen, the company’s annual energy consumption exceeds 14 GWh – equivalent to the energy use of around 700 single-family homes per year. By implementing a structured energy management system, Montanhydraulik has established a solid foundation to continuously improve energy efficiency, reduce costs and resource consumption, and sustainably lower its CO₂ footprint.
Completed and planned projects already offer an estimated savings potential of around 1.5 GWh compared to the 2023 baseline – equivalent to the annual consumption of approximately 75 single-family homes. Several of these measures have already been successfully implemented, while others are currently underway.
Particularly noteworthy: the initial certification was achieved without a single deviation. This result highlights the high quality of the management system and the dedication of the energy management team, whose commitment and detailed analytical work made this milestone possible.
