There are no climatic limits to the exploitation of oil and natural gas. The Montanhydraulik group develops hydraulic drive concepts consisting of cylinders, hydraulic aggregates, and control concepts for the oil and natural gas industry. Safety and reliability for humans combined with onsite technology are the fundamental requirements for the use of oil hydraulics in the oil and natural gas industry. Whether at Arctic ambient temperatures of -50 °C, temperatures up to 60 °C in desert regions, on land or on the high seas, the functions must be implemented precisely, and performance-must be optimised every time. Our numerous cylinder applications in the offshore sector, our hydraulic systems for complete drilling rigs, and our lifting systems for construction ships are designed for these operating conditions.
Jack-up rigs and construction ships which lift enormous loads and require secure footing in water depths of up to 50 m for this are used, e.g. for the construction of wind farms. Here the requirements for the hydraulics are particularly demanding. Germany alone is planning the installation of offshore wind farms with a capacity of around 25,000 MW by 2030. This requires complex technologies and equipment which make the demanding deployments on the high seas possible in the first place.
The profound know-how from mobile crane construction and the worldwide experience from hydraulic steelwork construction make Montanhydraulik one of the most expert partners in this market. Together with our Dutch subsidiary Muns Techniek B.V., we develop and manufacture complete hydraulic solutions, from aggregates to control systems and software, to corrosion-resistant hydraulic cylinders.
Furthermore, Montanhydraulik develops and produces components for mobile harbour cranes, which can be used flexible and which are designed for different applications. Starting with the container handling right up to the container-, bulk material- and general cargo transport.
All designs of components and systems are created in compliance with the legal requirements in the country of installation and with the required protection categories.
